Why we built it
Rhode Island has no shortage of great local businesses, but finding them online can still feel harder than it should. Search results are crowded, social media is messy, and too many small businesses get buried behind chains, ads, or outdated information.
Ocean State Index is our answer to that. We wanted something that feels local, useful, and easy to trust. A place where someone can quickly find a marine service in Warwick, a coffee shop in Newport, or a contractor in North Kingstown without digging through ten tabs first.
